Q: Activity! Who is your to-die-for book crush? What do you think they look like? Add an image to make us all happy.

I'm not going to post an image, because I don't fangirl over pictures. (Although, I do like to imagine that a lot of my crushes look like Ryan Gosling.)

There are a lot of boys/men crushes, but I can't point one of them as my favorite. They all have their own personality and qualities. The sarcasm from Jace (Mortal instruments), the playfulness of Puck (Iron Fey) or the loyalty from Chaol (Throne of Glass). It also depends on their relationship with other people. So, instead of making a long list with names because I can't pick one, I will point out one that isn't going to be popular: Severus Snape.

Ha, bet you didn't see that coming! I can't help it. It has been this way from the first time I read about him. It's not a crush in terms of 'I want a relationship with him,' but more of an 'all time favorite character I can't stop talking about' Alan Rickman did a magnificent job (and he has one of the most gorgeous voices ever) It's the same with having a crush on a girl; that only happens in books for me, but sometimes they are so cool that I can't stop admiring them. Like Allie (Immortal rules)

Could you pick one? Let me know in the comments or leave a link.

  1. I totally agree with you. I had a hard time picking a crush, because they're all so different and all have their own qualities. And yes, when I like them I think of them paired up with the mc of that certain book :)

And Alan Rickman is the Perfect Snape. He is just the most amazing embodiment of a fictional character ever!

  2. Great choices. And I must agree I don't crush on Snape but his loyalty and bravery is beyond admirable. Alan Rickman was also perfect to play him.

Chaol from Throne of Glass is also a great choice. In my head he looks like Liam Hemsworth (my crush right now). Quiet, loyal and caring. Just perfect.

  3. Yes! From book 1 I didn't like Snape--the love to hate em kind of guy--like many others naturally, but was swept away by the last book. And yes Alan was the perfect Snape!

  30. Aaah, Severus! You're right, Mel, I sure didn't see it coming! Gosh, I think I have love/hate relationship with him since the first book! I don't know what to think of Severus, sometimes I just want to throw things at his face, but other times he surprised me with his, um... kindness? :P

Anyway, awesome answer, Mel! I love your answer for this question! :) <3
