After the violent death of her father, 17 year-old Zelia loses her younger sister, Dylia, during an abduction at a foster care agency. It turns out her sister Dylia isn’t just pretty and sweet – she’s illegal. In the year 2150, DNA must be pure by law, and anyone with enhanced genes face death. Zelia’s only allies are the freak-show inhabitants of her new, underground foster home. Along with the unexpected love of a very strange boy, she will need her flaws and their illicit traits to save the only family she has left.

That is DEFINITELY a great cover, and SO fitting for the synopsis. Original dystopian storylines are so few and far between these days, but this one sounds like it might be a good read! Thank you for sharing, and for stopping by my WoW =).

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen or heard a thing about this one. I didn't even realize those were red blood cells on the book cover. This one is a definite read for me, though I'm squeamish about blood so I might have to take the cover off (lol).
ReplyDeleteHeather
I'm a sucker for science fiction, so I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to CONTROL! It sounds sooooo good. :) Great pick, Mel!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this one before and it sounds kind of creepy (in a good way!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
A new title! This one does sound cool, although the whole "unexpected love" thing raises a bit of a red flag for me, since I haven't had the best of luck with YA romances. Thanks for showcasing this one this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW!
~Merin @ Read and Reviewed
Sounds awesome, yes. But I have to disagree with the cover. I didn't liked it as much as you do. I think red blood cells is weird. I might think of it as a micro-para textbook rather than a young adult fiction. :l Sorry about that, no offense. :))
