Marissa Meyer – Scarlet.Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own. As Scarlet and Wolf work to unravel one mystery, they find another when they cross paths with Cinder. Together, they must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen who will do anything to make Prince Kai her husband, her king, her prisoner.
I also got a review request from Bella Forrest. I got an e-copy from her book A shade of vampire. I thought it sounded interesting and I can’t wait to try it out.
On the evening of Sofia Claremont's seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake. A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood. She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine. An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains. Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince. Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night. Will she succeed? ...or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks? That is it for this week! Show me your haul by leaving a link in the comments.

I really enjoyed Scarlet. Although I have that Scarlet and Wolf come second to Kai and Cinder - those two will always hold a special place in my heard, ha. :)
ReplyDeleteA Shade of Vampire has a gorgeous cover! I've seen that around a few times this week, but I'm looking forward to your review. And Scarlet is a book I still need to get myself a copy of. ReplyDeleteI think I'm the only person I know that didn't care for Cinder. I know, I'm weird, right? I tried three times, once reading the book and twice on Audio, and got 1/2 way through and was BORED w/it. So it was a DNF for me. :( I hope you enjoy your books, though :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThat's not weird at all. Everybody has it's own taste! Sometimes, it just doesn't work for you and there is nothing wrong with that ;)
DeleteScarlet is one of my next books to read, but it keeps getting pushed back when I get things from the library! Hope you enjoy reading it, and thanks for dropping by my blog :)
