I feel good, because I haven't requested any books from Netgalley! I'm currently trying to read all the e-ARCS I have and I want to continue reading my own TBR-pile. I couldn't resist buying these books though, because of their bargain prices.

Jim C. Hines - The stepsister scheme, part 1.
Jim C. Hines - The mermaid's madness, part 2.
Jim C. Hines - Red Hood's revenge, part 3.

Graceling and Unwind both look really good. I totally understand about not requesting more e-galleys from Netgalley. I'm trying not to as well but I just can't stop myself! ;-) Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteNice haul! I have Graceling at home, but I still haven't read and everyone seems to love it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books. :)

I have a problem with requesting arcs from Netgalley, I just can't help it. I really want to read Unwind & Graceling! They both sound amazing! I hope you enjoy your books :)
ReplyDeleteNice! Those are new to me but I hope you enjoy them!

Graceling is fantastic, Mel! I hope you'll enjoy it. :) Have a great week!

I've got GRACELING waiting right on my shelf, too! I'm kind of hesitant of starting it, since it's been getting so much gushing reviews from readers, so I guess I'm afraid that I'll set my expectations too high and I'll end up disappointed. :/ Also - UNWIND! I haven't read it yet, so I can't wait to hear what you think. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Mel!
I wish I knew how to restrain myself and NOT peek on NetGalley!! LOL. I also have Graceling to read! I've heard so many great things about it! Enjoy them!

Lucky for me, I haven't quite figured out Netgalley which I usually think is a good thing because I don't go crazy requesting books. Graceling is also on my never ending TBR list. And, I really like the covers on Jim C. Hines's books.
ReplyDeleteGraceling is one of my all time favorite reads, Mel! I hope you love it too. Enjoy your reads. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for bargain books! I've had to ban myself from Netgalley, because I end up requesting just about everything and then I have no interest in reading most of these books... so no Netgalley for me until I finish what I requested already. I really want to read Graceling and Unwind, I have both of them, but I just haven't had time to read them. They sound good though. :)
ReplyDeleteGood job on not requesting any books! I gave it up for Lent but now that's over so I just requested a whole bunch. Graceling is amazing so I hope you can fit it in soon! I also think the Hines books look right up your alley so I hope they're as good as they look.
ReplyDeleteUnwind sounds so interesting! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who hasn't read Graceling... I own it,b ut I still haven't read it yet. I've heard amazing things about it. Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteWell done on not requesting anything from Netgalley - great self-control! I adored Graceling when I read it and the Jim C Hines books look so cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the detail in the Unwind cover, looks really cool. And well done for the self-restraint.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

I totally understand the need to buy these bargain books. They're awesome!! :)
ReplyDeleteUnwind looks really creepy! I've also heard some good things about Graceling, so I will have to check that out soon.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all your books,
Sam @ Falling Books
I think I totally need to stop requesting books from NetGalley too, I have so many to get through! I've had my eye on Unwind for sometime so I can't wait to see how you get on with it! I hope you enjoy all your reads Mel! :)
ReplyDeleteI ma very jealous of your Jim C.Hines pile of books, Mel! had the first one one my wishlist for absolute ages! :) Happy Easter break and hope you enjoy all your reads!
ReplyDeleteSome of my friends have started Kristin Cashore series and they told me it's brilliant! Nevertheless, I still haven't pick that series up, and I hope to do it soon.
ReplyDeleteI know, Netgalley is a drug, isn't it?! I have a huge to read pile and so many review requests, but I still continue to request e-ARCs nonetheless.. I guess I will have to stop, just as you did! ^^
Happy reading!
Nice Haul! I love Graceling!
ReplyDeleteAh NetGalley - I gave it up for about 6 months last year and then fell back off the wagon when a few books I was hugely excited about came up.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books and have a great week :-D
Oooh, Mel, I really can't wait to see what you think of Unwind and Graceling! Both have been on my TBR FOR-E-VER and sound amazing ;) But somehow, I haven't picked them up yet...
ReplyDeleteGraceling!!! I have yet to crack open my own copy but I hope to REALLY soon :D I'll be curious to read your thoughts! Oh and I've heard great things about Unwind, I hope you enjoy ALL of these & thanks for sharing
