I haven’t participated in Top 10 Tuesday for a while now, but I really like this weeks topic. Today I’m going to share with you my:
Top Ten Series from 2012 I'd Like To Start But Haven't Yet.
Jodi Meadows – Incarnate.
Veronica Rossi – Under the never sky.
Kristin Cashore – Graceling.
C.J Redwine – Defiance.
Jennifer A. Nielson – The false prince.
Gena Showalter – Alice in Zombieland.
Bethany Griffin – Masque of the red death.
Marissa Burt – Storybound.
Susan Dennard – Something strange and deadly.
These are the first ten series that I could think of, but there are some more series. To name some other titles: Article 5, The vicious deep, The gathering storm and Touch of Power.

I loved Incarnate, Graceling and The False Prince! Those were all so good.
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to start Storybound myself, but it just hasn't happened yet.
I also still need to read Legend and Graceling... people keep raving about it and it makes me feel bad xD Awesome list!
ReplyDeleteYou should read Under the Never Sky! It's totally awesome. And the second book? Better than the first! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Legend now.. So far so good.
BTW, I'm currently having a giveaway on my blog. You can check it out and join :) FOllower APpreciation GIVEAWAY!
Amazing list. I have Under the Never Sky, Legend and Incarnate on my list too! You must read Touch of Power too, I love Maria V Snyder and it was such an amazing book! So many series to read so little time :) Great list!

Of these, I very highly recommend The False Prince and Graceling. Both of them blew me away! I liked Storybound, but not quite on the same level. Incarnate was nice, as well, but I think I'll survive while waiting for the sequel in paperback. ;)
ReplyDeleteI want to read these series as well. They sound so good & I love the covers. :)
ReplyDeleteJ'adore Happy Endings
Under the Never Sky is an absolutely incredible series - one of the best I've read!
ReplyDeleteMy list - http://kristasdustjacket.blogspot.com/2013/03/top-ten-tuesday.html
Almost all of these I have to read too, especially Under The Never Sky, Masque of the Red Death, Alice in Zombieland (they just revealed the cover for the second book!), and Defiance. I just read Legend and it was good! The Graceling series is one of my favorites. I love Kristin Cashore's writing but I know some people struggle with the pace (there is a lot of detail but it comes together beautifully!) Great picks!
ReplyDeleteGraceling is one of my favorite ya fantasy books. I also read Legend and it was very good. Alice in Zombieland. I enjoyed altough a lot of my friends said they did not like it, I think it's the problem that most people expect Alice in Wonderland retelling and this book is not that. It's just ordinary ya fantasy but with a lot of angst, action and romance so it was quick and fun read.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the books are still waiting on my tbr for a chance. :)
Great list Mel!
Haha, I pretty much want to read all of those too! They all look fantastic! Great list :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten!
Pretty much all of these are amazing, especially Kristin Cashore! You have so much good reading in your future. Though I will say that if you're excited about Alice in Zombieland for the retelling or the zombies, be warned that it is neither of those. It's a romance novel straight up.
ReplyDeleteMasque of the Red Death is pretty awesome. None of the others made my list today, but MOST are on my TBR list, lol. Just too many great series out there! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier! Happy Tuesday! :D
ReplyDeleteI really, really, really recommend Under the Never Sky! It's absolutely amazing. And I've read great things about Incarnate, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I have been wanting to read Legend for a while also, I have heard great things!
ReplyDeleteKristin @ Young Adult Book Haven
Alice in Zombieland and Under the Never Sky are both series I'd like to read at some point!! And Incarnate has a really cool cover!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My TTT
I've only read Under the Never Sky, and I loved it. The characters are pretty great!
ReplyDeleteLegend! OMG loved it and the sequel! I really hope you get to read that soon. Under the Never Sky is another series I absolutely love! Incarnate almost made my list. I need to read those books too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post!
~Sara @ Forever 17 Books
Oh yes Mel, I need to read The False Prince and Graceling too!!! Those have come highly recommended to me from so many people but I have yet to pick them up. I fail. I hope you get a chance to read Under the Never Sky and Alice in Zombieland, I loved both of those books:):)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Storybound but the cover is so pretty. Thanks for giving me some suggestions to check out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog
Im now following via GFC
I absolutely LOVED Legend! I'm reading Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi just now and it's amazing! I really want to read Defiance & Alice in Zombieland!
ReplyDeleteGreat list :)
I still need to read Under the Never Sky and Legend too! Glad to see I'm not the only one. Good luck on getting these read! :)
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday!
I want to read those Alice In Zombieland books too! And I have the first books to a couple of your other picks. So many good ones out there!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
I have Graceling on my list too, really want to read that, have heard such good things about it! :-)
ReplyDelete<3 Legend and the False Prince. Definitely start those first. If you've ever read anything by Megan Whalen Turner, you'll love love love The False Prince, and Legend is just plain badass.
ReplyDeleteI love Graceling, Under The Never Sky and Masque of the Red Death. Legend is great, too. Didn't care much for Incarnate or Defiance, though, and the False Prince is on my list.
ReplyDeleteGraceling is a great read, I hope you get the chance to read it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading

Legend, Under the Never Sky, and Graceling are all phenomenal!!! You will LOVE! I have Incarnate and Masque of the Red Death on my shelves I've been meaning to get to as well!
ReplyDeleteHa, we should discuss reading Under the Never Sky together. Everyone's yelling at me to read it on my blog! Great list - I haven't read a lot of these either *hangs head in shame*
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT!
You need to read Legend! IT's a great series. I never thought I would like it as much as I did! I have yet to read any of the other series on your list either, but I want to read a lot of them! NEW FOLLOWER
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Top Ten!
Awesome list. Legend is one of the ones I regret not buying right away and reading. Hopefully I will get to it soon. =] Thanks for sharing and visiting my list. I could have added about dozen more to my list. =]
ReplyDeleteI just finished Defiance last night, it is pretty good! Worth reading :)
ReplyDeleteLOVED Masque of Red Death! One of my favorites from 2012.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes. You must read The False Prince. It's so wonderful! I want to read Under the Never Sky too.
ReplyDeleteI've only read UTNS and I really enjoyed it. Haven't read TTEN though, because A LOT happens and I think I forgot all of it haha. Legend, Incarnate, Defiance, Graceling... definitely want to start those series soon! Love your list :)
ReplyDeleteI want to read most of these, too! I think the only one I have already read would be Defiance - which I wasn't obsessed with, but I guess it's a good pick still, because everyone else was in love with it :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Under the Never Sky and Legend. I really want to read Defiance. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't the hugest fan of Under the Never Sky. I didn't like the insta love and the story was kind of blah for me. But SO many people liked it, so don't listen to me. I hope you get to these series soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading.
Ooo! I really liked Graceling (at least the first book), Legend, Alice, Incarnate, and Masque of the Red Death. I need to read False Prince and Something Strange and Deadly, too!
ReplyDeleteSo funny how we all read so much but there are always SO MANY MORE BOOKS to read.
Wendy @ The Midnight Garden
Legend twins! I also have Under the Never Sky on my TBR pile, but I'm not as excited about it as other people seem to be. Maybe I should be?
ReplyDeleteI love Graceling and I want to read Legend/Masque of the Red Death!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these except Graceling and Incarnate, both of which I really loved! I have a feeling you might not like Incarnate but I hope you do. Oh I have read Masque of the Red Death and must say, it was fantastic, definitely one of my all time favorites!
ReplyDeleteUnder the Never Sky was so good, and so was the sequel. You should definitely read that series soon. It was amazing! Here's my TTT: http://www.tumblingbooks.com/2013/03/05/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-series-id-like-to-start-but-havent-yet/
ReplyDeleteUNDER THE NEVER SKY (and the sequel Through the Ever Night!!) and GRACELING!!! They're AMAZING!! You should def read those asap :)
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: http://nightmareonbookstreet.blogspot.com/2013/03/top-ten-tuesday-series-i-want-to-start.html
These are some really good series -- none of them made my list, only because there are just too many! I hope you do enjoy them though :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post :)
I'd say you could leave Legend alone, I found it to be rather underdeveloped and derivative. Graceling was a very enjoyable read with very compelling characters though!
ReplyDeleteGraceling series is awesome! Under the Never Sky is pretty good too. I am now curious about the Storybound series. Will go check that one out. :D Thanks for dropping by my post!
ReplyDeleteLegend and Graceling's really good, but I reco Alice in Zombieland and Under the Never Sky more!
ReplyDeleteOh man- you have some amazing books on this list! I am obsessed with Defiance, Incarnate, and Under the Never Sky. OBSESSED. LOL. Definitely worth reading!!!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Jessica@Lovin' Los Libros
I've read the Graceling books and they are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and I'll be sure to read those Harry Potter books soon :)
I really can't believe that I forgot about Graceling! I've checked it out a couple of time from the library, but I never got around to it. I have read Something Strange & Deadly, however, which I think is fun. I'm actually annoyed that I have to wait for the sequel, because I'm itching to get my hands on it!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the False Prince right now! it's pretty good so far. Incarnate was just okay for me. I want to read Legend, too! Cool picks :)
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
I've only read one of these--Incarnate--and I really, really liked it. I want to read most of the others on your list. Thanks for sharing and stopping by!
ReplyDeleteRachel @ Beauty and the Bookshelf
Under The Never Sky, Alice in Zombieland, and Defiance were all great. I love Legend and the Graceling series sounds awesome! Great picks :)
ReplyDeleteI really want to read 'Legend' too! :) I hope we both get to read it soon!
ReplyDeleteAlice @ Alice in Readerland
Ahh! So many awesome books :D But omg. You NEED to read Graceling! You really, truly need to. It is amazing. And you will love it ;) Hih. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting on my Top Ten. <3
Love, Carina @ Carina's Books
Under the Never Sky is on my list too! Hope you find time to read all these amazing series! :D
ReplyDeleteTop 10 Tuesdays
Waiting on Wednesday
Great list! I haven't read many of these either, but I do hope to get to them in the future, especially UNDER THE NEVER SKY and INCARNATE. I've got GRACELING sitting on my shelf right now, so I'll be reading that one soon. Hope you get the chance to read these, Mel!
ReplyDeleteI loved LEGEND and TOUCH OF POWER! I have UNDER THE NEVER SKY and INCARNATE on my shelf somewhere (I'm in the middle of cleaning the whole thing out, so everything's in some state of disarray), and you've just reminded me to pick them up :) This is the first time I've heard of THE FALSE PRINCE *makes mental note to check it out later* Great picks! :)
ReplyDeleteLegend is pretty good! The sequel is even better. :) I hope you can get started on that series soon! I also really love Veronica Rossi's books. She's such a brilliant writer and I'm still thinking about her characters. Great list, Mel!
ReplyDeleteThe only series that you mentioned that I've started is the Graceling series. But I want to read all those others, too! Hopefully we'll both be able to get to all those series soon! Great list!
ReplyDeleteAgh, I hate it when a comment doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI've only read Storybound out of these and this you'll really like it- it's intriguing, captivating, mysterious, beautiful, fairytaleish and just so wonderful! I would love to hear what you think of it, if you get to reading it, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. (:
I'm really wanting to read the Graceling series, too- I got it out from the library a year or so ago and didn't give it much of a try, but I think I ought to try it again.
I just read The Runaway King yesterday so my vote would be The False Prince (note that it's really good, but The Runaway King is even better!). I liked Graceling but LOVED Fire so I vote for them too. I've read some others but those are the best of those you listed. :) (IMO)
ReplyDeleteI need to read Defiance and The False Prince sometime soon, too. I loved Graceling and Fire - I think you'll love them. So many good books! Thanks for sharing your list.
ReplyDeleteThere are always so, sooo many series to read that it can get a little overwhelming!! You've picked some good ones. I still really need to read False Prince and Legend and Graceling and Under the Never Sky and this list could go on forever....
ReplyDeleteAaaah! You picked so many awesome series, Mel! <3 I really enjoyed Incarnate, and I think you're going to love it too! There are some elements that reminded me of fairytale when I read that book. :) Graceling is lovely as well. The writing is superb. <3 We both need to read The False Prince and Under the Never Sky! I can't get them out of my head, I need to find some time to read them! x) The Gathering Storm has such beautiful setting, and I quite enjoyed it. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many books come out every year, it gets confusing some time hehe. Hopefully we both will be able to read more this year, Mel! <3 :)
Anyway, LOVE the new blog design! The header and the background? GORGEOUS. <3
Oh so many awesome series that you still have to start Mel! I definitely recommend picking up Under the Never Sky, I got through both books so quickly! I also can't wait to pick up Something Strange and Deadly and Masque of the Red Death! :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Graceling and I can't wait to get onto Fire, so I hope you enjoy that one. It is lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteLike you I want to pick up most of the rest, particularly Under the Never Sky and The False Prince.
Great picks! :)
I really want to read the Incarnate series and I have read book one of the Graceling series and Under the Never Sky, but haven't continued on to the other books yet. I really recommend Graceling if you like high fantasy. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the cover of Masque.. it was a pretty good read. Definitely looking forward to the sequel. :) I still have to read Legend too.. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by on Tuesday!
Michele | TTT
You definitely need to start the Graceling realm books, Mel. They're awesome!
ReplyDeleteStorybound is such a great book! I am so excited for book two coming out in April!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stoppin' by!
I didn't do this meme - but my list would be exactly the same! I need to start all of these already! Especially I have no excuse for Under the Never Sky and Masque of the Red Death, I've had them forever! I would also add Anna Dressed in Blood and The Mortal Instruments series!
ReplyDeleteApril @ My Shelf Confessions
I really enjoyed Alice in Zombieland. I loved the take on Zombies and Alice was more fierce than I expected. And plus - the cover is gorgeous.
