AHHHHHHHHHH. My parents financed me to buy a new e-reader. My old one was done. After 1.5 years of intensive use, I felt it was time to get a new one. Finally reading in the sun and the special build-in light is awesome! There are so many great features (like highlighting quotes and reading stats). It’s easy in use, it’s so light and I love him! The Kobo Glo in Blue moon. If someone is interested in a review, just let me know. And I bought a handy case, isn't it cute?

My boyfriend always gets awesome presents. I got John Green - The fault in our stars from the library and I told him about it, so he got me my own copy! And he knows my taste perfectly: necklace & earrings from Harry Potter <3.
Edelweiss/Netgalley approvals:

Edelweiss: Kiersten White – The chaos of stars.
Netgalley: Patrick W. Carr – The hero’s lot.
I can’t wait to hear more of Errol after loving A cast of stones.
That’s it guys. I’m incredibly happy with all the things I got. I feel blessed with all the lovely people around me and I had a great time at the fairs. I'm now going to make a list with books I want to buy from my birthday money ;) any suggestions; let me know which book you recently read & loved.

Yay for the new e-reader! I recently made the switch from a Samsung Tab to a Kindle, and I'm really loving the experience. :) Oh my gosh, your boyfriend is such a sweetheart. I hope my future boyfriend knows my tastes well, too! <3 Also, can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Chaos of Stars. I know there haven't been many positive reviews for Kiersten White's books, but this one really pulls me in for some reason. Must be the mythology and that COVER.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Mel!
What a lovely haul, Mel! I always wanted to read Dracula in Love, and hope you enjoy all your books! :)
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely things! I ADORE the Harry Potter necklace - I've been looking for a t-shirt with that triangle for ages.
ReplyDeleteI've recently read Birdman by Mo Hayder and wasn't really keen on it, if I'm totally honest :( Hope it lives up to your expectations, though! And a big YAY for the new e-reader!
The necklace and The Chaos of Stars!! Lovely goodies you have there. Enjoy you haul :D

Whoa at all your book prices! How cheap!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of any of these books besides Silence, but enjoy all your books Mel! (:
Thanks for stopping by my STS!
Awesome deals, Mel! I wish we had sales like that, although it's probably better for my bookshelves that we don't. :)
ReplyDeleteMy Book Haul post
I think I live in the wrong part of Holland. The book stores in mijn town never have prices like that. Not even on Queens Day.
ReplyDeleteChaos of Stars looks good, hope you enjoy.

ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday!! Great haul - hope you enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI loved Silence and The Fault In Our Stars! I also have an ARC of the Chaos Of The Stars!
ReplyDelete-Scott Reads It
Woo you and Ash getting new e-readers is making me want to upgrade! & I never got around to reading Silence. I kind of lost interest after book 2 but I will wait to see if you like it to make a final decision. Enjoy all your goodies!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated birthday! It looks like you've got some great books. Karen Miller has to be one of my favorite authors, though I had mixed feelings about The Innocent Mage. The second one was definitely better, I hope you enjoy them and the rest of your books!
ReplyDeleteAwesome haul! I particularly approve of fantastic Harry Potter-related earrings and necklace! So cool! I don't know anything about the Kobo (I have a Kindle) but ereaders are so useful and it's always exciting to get a new one! The Chaos of Stars also sounds fantastic. Enjoy all your new goodies!
ReplyDeleteI freaking love the cover of Dracula in Love. I hope it's good! Gothic mysteries, FTW. I hope Chaos of Stars is good. You will have to let me know!
ReplyDeleteWoha Mel! I love your new ereader. Only bad thing about Kindle is that it doesn't have built-in light so I can't read in dark. I like yours. Also the case is so cute! :) For the books - your boyfriend gave you an amazing book :) You've got Silence for 1 euro. Nice catch! :) Great haul.
ReplyDeleteOh, love. <3 So much amazing :D Love the earrings ;) And ahh. Your own copy of The Fault in Our Stars :) Perfect, perfect book. Hope you enjoy it all sweetie. <3 :)
ReplyDeleteI want to read Chaos of Stars! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the jewelry and the Kobo! So pretty! I have an Ipad so I don't really know anything about the Kobo. I haven't even seen one in person. Not that I remember. But that case is soooo cute. And what an awesome book haul! Enjoy, Mel! :D
ReplyDeleteTotally love Hush Hush and Silence. Hope you do to. I still need to read Finale!

Ohmygosh, LOVE the HP necklace and earrings. What a wonderful boyfriend. ;) Also, Happy Belated Birthday!!! I love Bdays. :) Hope you got to celebrate in style.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great boyfriend! Glad that he spoiled you ;-) Nice haul this past week. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Kobo. I've been thinking about getting an e-reader myself but can't narrow it down. Price will be a big factor but past that, I'm just not sure. They seem the same but so different at the same time...I'm confused and can't decide!
