This secondehand bookshop is very bad for my wallet and space, but I found some great things this week. I'm now having true bookworm problems: I have no idea where to put them! I'm now making stacks on top of my clothing closet, because my bookshelves are full. Are you guys interested in things like: a book tour? Or pictures from my shelves?
After reading this review from Books of Amber I was interested in the book. I also want to read it before I see the movie, so when I found a copy for 2 euro I couldn't resist it: Beautiful creatures by Garcia & Stohl. I found a cheap copy from Silence a while ago and now I stumbled on the first book: Hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. The interesting promise and the lovely cover made me buy Malinda Lo - Ash.
And I keep hearing awesome things about Maria Snyder and her Study series, so when I found them for a good price, I decided to pick them up. I always love a good High fantasy series.

AWE-SOME! I LOVE Maria Snyder's books!! Her Study Trilogy is definitely my ultimate fave!! It's truly remarkable!! There's action, romance, laughter...and oh-so-much more! Happy Reading!

Great haul! Ash looks really good! I actually tried reading Beautiful Creatures once but never finished it... I didn't like the pacing at all! It was just too slow for me, unfortunately! :(

Great books! I'm currently reading Fire Study the third book in the Study series. It is really an amazing YA fantasy series, definitely going on my favourites list! She's also now one of my favourite authors, you should check out her newest books Touch of Power and Scent of Magic as they were amazing! Enjoy :)

ReplyDeleteI bought Beautiful Creatures a while back, but have yet to read it. I need to get it done so I can see the movie! I also want to read the Study series, and the Hush, Hush series, but have not gotten to it yet. So many books so very little space and time! I hope you enjoy your new books!

Hush, Hush is really good! The second ones is pretty good, and the third one is okay, but I wasn't a huge fan of the end book. Maybe it was just me though. Hush, Hush was the best one, in my opinion. I need to read the Beautiful Creatures series! All of them are in the public library near me - maybe I should take a trip :D

ReplyDeletePoison Study is one of my favorite books of all time-I didn't think the sequels were quite as good but they're worth a read at least once. Meanwhile I give my favorite chapters of Poison Study a read every couple of months...

ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about MVS's books as well. Hush Hush is kinda my guilty pleasure. I'm not supposed to love it so much, but I do. The last book was brilliant! I didn't give a lot about Beautiful Creatures though. For me the sequel was so bad, but the third and the fourth book were very, very good. It's a different exciting world and I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about Ethan's POV since he was so whiny and clueless.

OMFG MEL I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE THE STUDY SERIES UP THERE!!! I still need to read Fire Study (and I have this on my shelf so shame on me) but I really like Poison Study and Magic Study! I'm crossing my fingers that you feel the same! I also liked Beautiful Creatures, but Beautiful Madness was a little frustrating. Enough ranting.. ENJOY YOUR BOOKS :D :D

Ahhhh The Study Series *drools* I've only managed to get a hold of book 1 myself (still haven't read it yet) but it's a series I am beyond eager to get into - like you I've heard TONS of praise for the series :D Beautiful Creatures is another one I need to read!
