  1. Woo hoo Stormdancer! I hope you enjoy it :D It's a bit slow in the beginning but push through it and you'll get to the good stuff :) I haven't read any of the other books you've got apart from Ink and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer which I didn't like so much but looking forward to hearing what you think of them :D Great haul Mel!

  4. What an awesome haul! And your blog is great. I want to do one too sometime but I fear for my accent being flemish and all. While I am great at reading English I think speaking it is a little worse :') lol.

    Happy reading!

  6. That's like a tons. I've read the first two books of the Dreaming Anastasia series but I was bored so I ended not finishing the series. I'm interested to read your review/s of it. And yay for Crown of Midnight you will love it (remember the hair pulling twist? HAHA). Awesome haul!

  7. Heeeeee, a vlog! HI!

I want to get to The Diviners in October, or Tatum might shout at me. I'm kind of looking forward to it, and kind of putting it off. I also want to read Stormdancer! I was meant to read it in September but then review copies and Rome happened.

I'm afraid to read anything else by JKR as well. I don't think I'll be reading her two newest releases any time soon XD

  10. Love the vlog! I'm so excited for Crown of Midnight, I'm reading every review of it right now- I'll keep an eye out for yours! I loved Grant's Gone series, so I'd love to hear what you think of BZRK. Happy reading :)

  11. Haha you are so cute Mel! Loved that you went ahead and did a vlog! I had saw your comments on Twitter about it and was looking forward to see how it turned out, I think it was great. I'm the same way as you and I don't edit my videos (partially don't know how and partially too lazy to care). So when I did my Games videos I would record them like five or six times until I thought it was passable and then just added text afterwards to make fun of myself.

Anyways, hope you feel better! You should though, with all these amazing books <3

  15. Woo, first vlog!! Love your accent and glasses so much, Mel! Can't wait to see more from you if you decide to make more vlogs! Also, The Casual Vacancy isn't for everyone; it's important to remember that it is NOT at all like HP, so don't expect it to be.

  16. Ooh amazing books you've got! For some reason the video isn't showing up...maybe bc I'm on my iPad using Safari :( I need to read INK, The Constant princess! and Unbecoming of Mara Dryer.. And I just met Stacey jay today actually! Now I need to read Of Beast and beauty :) she was so nice!

Happy Reading! I'm reading Witchstruck now...it's good but I'm kind of having disconnect issues with the characters, I don't feel that close to them *shrug*

  17. Oh, MEL. You're so adorable - and don't worry about your accent! Mine's probably worse, because people over here speak really crudely sometimes. I'm different because I hang out with a bunch of dignified friends who don't speak with our normal accent. Ha. Anyway, GREAT haul!

    - The Diviners: This was one of the creepiest books I've ever read, and you know me, I don't get scared easily, so that's a major compliment. Also, Libba captured the time and era perfectly. I really hope you like it!

    - The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer: So, I didn't like this one as much as many other people did, but there's no denying that the cover is pretty, and that thanks to that major cliffhanger ending, I'm hooked. Maybe you'll have better luck with it than I did, though!

    - Level 2: Again, not a particularly remarkable book, but I LOVE the title. I was so mad when they changed it to something totally normal-sounding!

    - The Catastrophic History of You and Me: Ooh, okay, I've heard so much great things about this one. In fact, Chri recommended it to me because she loved it so much. Can't wait to hear what you think, Mel!

    - The Summer Prince: I love love LOVE the cover and premise for this book. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a mess of plots and characters, and even though I liked that it was set in a futuristic Brazil, it didn't really work out for me.

    - The Casual Vacancy: QUEEN ROWLING. That is all.

    - Throne of Glass: So glad to hear that you loved it! I did, too, but I haven't gotten the sequel yet even though many people have been raving about how much better it is. Grah. Fingers crossed you'll enjoy CoM!

    - Of Beast and Beauty: Beauty and the Beast! One of my favorite fairytales ever, and I've heard that Stacey Jay does a marvelous job with the retelling, too. Looking forward to your review. :D

    1. You're the second to say my accent was okay, so yeay, mission completed :p One of the creepiest book, that promises a lot! I'm happy I got Level 2 with this cover and title too, I hate the change. I know you didn't like The summer prince, but hey, I got it so I'll try it :D

  18. Yay! Congrats on your first vlog! It gets easier the more you do it :) I love your accent btw!
I'm definitely Team Chaol as well! I think I pronounce his name the same way you do.
I really loved 'Mara Dyer' and 'Level 2' so I hope you enjoy them! The cover for 'The Summer Prince' is so pretty! I'm really really excited to see what you think of 'Of Beast and Beauty' because it sounds awesome!
I also hope you have better luck with 'The Casual Vacancy' than I did. I think I only managed to get through 119 pages before I wanted to throw it out a window.
Anyways, brilliant first vlog Mel! Happy reading :)

  21. Dude you have an awesome accent! Love it! And you did a great job. I used to vlog but then my camera got all glitchy and I didn't want to bother with fixing it for hours every time so meh. The Diviners is SO good and creepy! I also want to read Level 2 but I hear it's pretty religious so dunno about that yet. iI have also been meaning to try that new JK Rowling but the reviews are all over the place and I'm scared lol. Great haul. chickie!

  23. The vlog was so cute!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is really pretty twisted, but I love it! The second book is so much creepier than the first. I love that series.

I really liked Throne of Glass too! I haven't bought Crown of Midnight yet, but maybe soon... As for which team I'm on: Either! I like them both. (And I have no idea how to pronounce half the names in those books!)

You definitely got lots of great books this week! I can't wait to find out what you think of all of them!
