Would you rather? October edition

Fighting Dreamer came up with this list based on the Would you rather tag on I read and tell.

This is actually a hard question for me. I’m very easy to scare and I HATE amusement rides, so these two things are both a horror for me. The test subject will “challenge your fear tolerance and mental endurance with face top fear-inducing elements.” Oh yes, that definitely sounds like something anyone wants to sign up for.. I don’t mind horror houses, but this sounds a bit too unsettling.

On the other hand, THREE times in the Flight of Fear is also not something I look forward to.. I never go in amusement rides and when I do, I most of the times end up crying. I just don’t like the feeling. The darkness, the height, the speed: doesn’t matter, but that feeling in your stomach makes me sick.

I think you can have your box of horror books, because I need to pass for both of these ;) I don’t think I’d live to collect them anyway. I will go to the bookstore myself and buy one book from my own money. Perhaps Anna dressed in blood, because I’ve heard so many good things about it.
  • 2. For a plate of your favorite dessert... would you rather drink a candwich OR drink snake wine?
Candwich for sure! I don’t mind the snake, but I don’t drink wine and I’m very interested to see how a Candwich would taste. And afterwards I’ll take a nice chocolate chip cookie.
  • 3. For a trip to an amusement park of your choice... would you rather watch The Shining alone, in the dark, with a storm outside OR spend a night at a haunted campsite with your friends?
Damn. Like I said before, I’m very easy to scare and I don’t really like most horror movies (they give me nightmares) and watching one alone.. I also don’t really look forward to a haunted campsite, but at least I would have company. I like spending time with friends and I think we could have a great time, so I’ll go for that one. And if we’ve survived that day, I will take a private yet to take us to Disney Land.
  • 4. For a mythical creature of your choice  ... would you rather meet a zombie OR a vampire?
That depends on the vampire! If it’s one that immediately wants to drain me, I think I’d rather take my chance with a slow, stupid zombie. I’m not much of an athlete, but I think I can outrun him. I’m kind of attached to my brain. And I would love to have a Phoenix. They are pretty and I love the idea of being reborn from your ashes.
  • 5. For a chance to visit your favorite book world ... would you rather spend a day in a Stephen King book OR in a zombie infested world?
I think I have more chance to survive in a Stephen King book! I’m not sure my minimal survival skills are enough to save me from hordes of zombies. I’m also far too curious, so I’d probably end up in a miserable situation. Stephen King has some stories I’d be interested to peek into, like Eyes of the dragon. And I like to step into the wonderful world of Harry Potter of course! Preferably a book where my favorite character is still alive.

Now let me know what you would pick!

  1. I would watch The Shining all by myself no doubt about it! Also, becoming a test subject basically means you're gonna die so yeah, definitely three times of that ride!

    Great post, Mel! <33

    1. Haha, I don't think you are supposed to die there Mel :p

  2. I've never read a Stephen King book! But I'm curious about Under the Dome as I'm loving the tv series.

I'm not too big on amusement park rides either. I go on a few of them, but the big scary ones like roller-coasters no way! xD

For number 3 I'd go with the campsite, because at least I'd have company, aha. :)

  3. I think I wouldn't choose any of those except the last one. A chance to visit my favourite book setting would definitely be worth it even if I do have to go into a Stephen King book. Awesome post and I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who gets terrified of scary movies! :)

  4. This is such a fun would you rather, it's like choosing between a rock and a hard place lol. I think I'd rather choose a zombie, as long as there aren't others following. I hate storms and the dark and a haunted campsite sounds a lot better. Great post Mel!

    1. Haha, a group of zombies isn't something I'd like either.

  5. 1. Flight of Fear, even without the free books! I love amusement park rides. :)

    2. Um, I would probably just skip dessert that day, but if I had to pick between the two, I would go for the candwich. I've seen snake wine, and it's too terrifying. WHY IS THERE A DEAD SNAKE IN THAT BOTTLE. NO NO NO.

    3. Watch The Shining. I already hate camping. Then I will call a friend and cry. Haha.

    4. Vampire. Unless the zombie is guaranteed to be like the one from Warm Bodies.

    5. I've only read one Stephen King book, but I know I would be a tasty zombie snack, so I'll go with King.

    1. 2. I don't get it either.. A bit weird.
      3. Haha, that is also a great option!

  6. OOOOH! I wanna play.

    1. Definitely the roller coaster. I love roller coasters. But...what do they do to make it scary? I am assuming they didn't build it just for this Halloween event, so is there anything else besides just the darkness? And you can't NOT pick. That's cheating. :D

    2. Definitely the snake wine as I have always wanted to try it. Though I am sure it is disgusting. Not that I am afraid of the candwich, but I actually have a preference here. So.

    3. Definitely going with the movie. Real ghosts are way more terrifying than scary movies.

    4. I agree with your argument. I need more information.

    5. I am going with Stephen King. Can I choose? I choose Under the Dome.

    This is fun!

  7. These are tough choices! But I think I'd take my chances with a vampire if it meant I got a friendly unicorn!!!

  8. I know! That test subject thing sounds quite scary. I imagine it'd be something like those "fear landscapes" were in Divergent, except more real ;)

I'm curious about the taste of candwich, too, and chocolate chip cookies *yum* Great choice!

"at least I would have company" Haha, that was my reasoning too.

Oh yes, phoenixes are such magnificent creatures, and I'd love to witness that rebirth from ashes thing with my own eyes :D

I have yet to read Eyes of the Dragon, but not all SK books are scary, so all we would have to do is choose wisely and pick a fantasy, or 11/22/63, or Joyland :)

    Thanks for playing, Mel! :)

  9. Ooh, fun tag!

    1. I think I'd definitely ride Flight of Fear three times. Rollercoasters don't bother me that much anymore and generally after I've been on a ride once I want to go on it again and again, so I actually think I'd enjoy that!

    2. I've never heard of a candwich in my life. I hate the taste of wine though so I'd have to pick the candwich. I'm strangely intrigued by it.

    3. Campsite definitely. I can do horror movies when there are lights on, but there's no way in hell I'd ever watch one alone and in the dark.

    4. Hmm, I'd have to pick vampire. Zombie's make me feel kind of sick and I'm actually kind of terrified of them. So give me a vampire any day.

    5. Stephen King book. I've never actually read one of his books, but I wouldn't last a minute in a zombie infested world.

I loved reading your answers! Great post Mel :)

    1. 1. True! If you've survived one ride, the other 2 are less bothersome.
      4. Zombies are disgusted yet.

  10. I doubt I'd get myself into this at all! I scare far too easily, and I hate amusment parks, so there's really nothing here I'd agree to, not even for a box of books. :) I'd rather be alive to buy them myself. :)
    I enjoyed your answers, Mel.

  11. I love this kind of thing! :D

    1. Although I'm not too fond of rollercoasters that I never been on, I'd rather do that three times than be a test subject in a haunted house. That just sounds too creepy.

    2. Also candwich for sure! That snakewine... no, just no.

    3. That's a hard one. I have never seen The Shining before but I'm not so good with watching horror movies all by myself. I tend to end up being afraid to go to the bathroom. lol. But spending a night at a haunted campsite with friends sounds like a horror movie on its own. But if I HAVE to choose I'd go for watching the movie during a storm.

    4. VAMPIRE! I hate zombies. yuck.

    5. Stephen King book, please. Like I said in the previous question, I hate zombies and I'd definitely die in a zombie infested world. I think with a Stephen King book there's more chance for me and I'd love to jump into any of my favorite book worlds.

Ha this was fun! Loved your answers as well! :D

  12. I loves these tags! I LOVE LOVE Stephen King! I really really hate rollercoasters.I would love to spend a night at a haunted campsite with your friends! even though im 200% sure it would become a cheesy teen horror film and we would all be hunted down and killed on by one.

    Fantastic post post Mel :)

    1. Hahaha, I hope not. If I go to a haunted campsite I hope to return home alive!

  13. Ooh, I like this one! I don't get scared easily, so most of these are a breeze for me!
    1. I'd probably prefer to ride Flight of Fear just because it's one of my favorite coasters!! I'd ride it FIVE times in a row if I could get away with it. I'm a rollercoaster junkie. But actually, the experiment sounds really interesting. I'm not afraid of roaches (although they're nasty and I wouldn't want them crawling on my face) or needles and I love snakes, so that's out the window. Darkness doesn't scare me unless I'm in the woods. I'd be kinda curious to see if they COULD find anything to scare me. Spiders would for sure!
    2. The canwich doesn't sound that bad, actually. I'd go with that. With a snicker roll from Harrison's for dessert!
    3. For a free trip to Cedar Point, I'd do both! :D I like storms and I don't mind the dark, and I actually like camping. Although if it's cold I'd rather stay inside and read lol!
    4. I'm with you. Depends on the vampire. If it's an Edward vampire, then I'll go with that. They won't eat me! I'd rather not meet a zombie unless I have a shotgun in my hands. And I choose a unicorn hahaaa
    5. Umm....I'd like to stay away from zombies, but it depends on which Stephen King book. NOT The Mist or IT, that's for sure! Maybe Gunslinger, that's a bit safer...
And I'm not sure what world I'd pick. Most of my favorites have worlds that I love to read but would not love to live in. I like my frilly life, thanks!

These are fun, Mel! Thanks for posting :)

    1. 1. I'm not afraid of spiders, roaches or the dark, but the whole needle talk *brr* I'm not afraid of needles, but I don't want them stabbed in my arms :p
      2. Snicker roll sounds delicious!
      3. I've never camped before, but it doesn't sound too bad with friends.
      4. Shotgun, great idea!

  14. I've never watch The Shining before so I'll take that one. ;) I'm all for new experiences and what not.

  15. I thought canwich was something fictional...haha it's actually real!
I've watch The Shining before...alone...it didn't quite scare me. Maybe I should give it another try...in the dark and with a storm outside... :)

  16. Interesting tag, and I love your answers! The first question is actually a easy question because as soon as I read bugs I was like "nope!" I do tend to like amusement park rides better and you can always close your eyes, but you can't stop feeling. Plus, after the first time you know what to expect so it wouldn't be as bad. Aw, poor snake! I would prefer the canwich for sure. The third one, dang these are some seriously had questions! On one hand, it's a movie versus a real experience but I would always prefer to be with someone else than alone so I think I would chose the campsite. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Haha, I think I even like bugs more than amusement rides. Yeah, I'm not sure why they would use an animal for that.. looks disgusting.

  17. 1. Easy, I choose to skip too. Huge baby over here. I don't think I'd live to collect the books either!
    2. No idea what either of these are but I'm gonna follow your lead and drink the Candwich
    3. Another easy one, The Shining. It might leave me with nightmares for the rest of my life but I'd rather watch a fictional movie in the comforts of my home than be out in the wilderness with the real threat of murder hah. (For the record, I refuse to camp. Ever)
    4. Your answer is a pretty solid one. I do think my chances are probably better with a zombie if the vampire is intent on killing me but zombies freak me the hell out so I'm still leaning towards vamp.
    5. Umm as much as I'd love to visit my favorite book world, I don't think I'd survive either of these circumstances so I think i'll have to pass on that one too.

    :D These are fun.

  18. Ahh! Creepy. The first question was the devil. I choose neither, lol. Not for me :D Don't think I would like Candwich, but I would rather try that. Question three, I would choose The Shining. Only seen it once, ages ago, but I didn't really think it was that scary, hih (A) Ahh. Don't know about Vampire or Zombie. Your answer has me confused, lol. I'm not sure I would be able to outrun a zombie. Especially not if it was a horde.. Have not read Stephen King before, but I vote for that. lol. Anyway. Loved your answers :D Thank you for sharing Mel. <3

  19. Snake wine! That sounds revolting to me. ;P I don't drink anyway, but snakes scare the crap out of me.... Even when they're dead! I don't think I'd have the survival skills to make it through a zombie horde either. But yes to Harry Potter! Who wouldn't want to spend a day in that magical world? :)

  20. "I’m very easy to scare and I HATE amusement rides, so these two things are both a horror for me" -- TWINS. (The real question is do you hate amusement rides because you're scared of heights or just the sensation of the ride itself?) Aha, here's my answer. "I never go in amusement rides and when I do, I most of the times end up crying. I just don’t like the feeling. The darkness, the height, the speed: doesn’t matter, but that feeling in your stomach makes me sick." -- Yeaaah, I know what you mean. I went on a trip to an amusement park once "to celebration our pending graduation" and basically spent the whole time sitting on the bench with my teacher 'cause I couldn't do it. What about water rides? Do those give you the same feeling? I think I'd choose the horror house too. My cousin's fiancee shoved her face in my back when we went, and I ended up cursing at a guy who kept trying to come back. Maybe having to protect someone helps???

"And afterwards I’ll take a nice chocolate chip cookie." -- Me too because a sandwich in a can... Um whut? AND SNAKE WINE. I think I'd barf at the idea of that if it was made reality before my eyes. Ew. ew. ew.

I don’t really like most horror movies (they give me nightmares) -- ME TOO. I once had a nightmare from a fricking James Bond movie because of... No, I won't tell you the scene but ugh. And I used my purse to cover my eyes during Disturbia. So I get you. I get this post. And this answer: "I also don’t really look forward to a haunted campsite, but at least I would have company. I like spending time with friends and I think we could have a great time, so I’ll go for that one."

"I’m kind of attached to my brain."
Lol, just maybe. A teeeny bit ;).

Heheheeh if you could see the number of flower shaped tabs open in my browser.... onto the next post then! :D :D

  21. Haha, I like how you answered your own question with my quoted answer :p Strange thing is, I really like water rides.. But that's maybe because it ends sooner than having a whole ride?

Ahhh, *high five* sometimes people laugh at me because I'm such a chicken, but it's good to hear I'm not the only one.

    Weirdo <3
