Top ten Tuesday 38. Fall TBR list.

                                                                  @The broke and the bookish.

Let’s take a look at my Summer TBR list first. I went much better this time than my failed Spring TBR list. I managed to finish a total of 13 books from the 15 listed books. I only failed to read Prophecy and These broken stars. If I look at the total amount of books I read this summer: 53. A very good result if you ask me, so why not make another seasonal TBR list?

Top Ten Books on my Fall TBR list.(23 September – 22 December)

  4. So I can only vouch for one of these: The Runaway King. To be honest, I didn't love it nearly as much as The False Prince, but it was still really great! :( I've put off reading the last for months - I'm not ready to say goodbye!

  26. Okay, I am officially jealous of your Fall. Seriously, you have some FABULOUS books on this list. Chima's The Demon King series is one of my favorite fantasy series, so jealous that you're about to start it for the first time! That plus Veronica Roth, Rae Carson, AND Jennifer Nielsen... *dies*

  27. I put Under The Never Sky on my list this time too, I've had it on my shelf for who knows how long and I'm trying to concentrate on reading books I actually own so I'm determined to get around to this one at last!

Hope you enjoy your reads, and good luck on getting through these (though you did fantastically on your summer TBR list, so maybe no luck needed?!)

  28. WTG with your Summer TBR list Mel! You have some good looking picks to get to for the Fall too; The Demon King, These Broken Stars, UtNS and Incarnate are all on my tbr shelf too! I own most of those so maybe I can get to some of those this Fall too! Girl of Fire & Thorns and The Ascendence Trilogy are on my list as well :) I hope you get to ALL of these in the Fall^^

  29. Wow! That is a lot of books! I was pretty happy with the amount of books I read this summer: 38 books. I didn't do too good with sticking with my Summer TBR list though. Whoops.
I love your list for Fall. I love Under the Never Sky!
And there are several books that I really have been wanting to read too. Especially These Broken Stars.
    Happy Fall Reading!

  30. I read Under the Never Sky awhile back but need to re-read to finish the trilogy! I heard it's amazing.

  31. WOW! WHAT A LIST! You're in for a treat Mel! ;)

The Girl of Fire & Thorns: This one was a bit meh for me because I'm so used to the awesomeness of authors like Sarah J. Maas when reading fantasy, and this just doesn't reach that level in my opinion. However, I know a ton of people loved it, so I hope you end up being one of those people!

These Broken Stars: This was one of my favorite books of 2013 and I absolutely adored it. It has a "Titanic in space" vibe which I absolutely adored and hope you do too!

Under the Never Sky & Breathe: It's sad, but these were, quite honestly, mediocre reads for me because I'm so used to amazing dystopians like The Hunger Games and Divergent, and these just weren't quite there yet. Nonetheless, I look forward to seeing your thoughts!

Thanks for sharing Mel, and fabulous post! <3

  35. Such a great list! Quite a few of these are on my TBR, though unfortunately I don't think any of them will be happening this fall. I did love Under the Never Sky though, so I hope you like that one. Though, I will say, the first few chapters were really bad for me, I almost DNFed, but then it got really good! Hope you enjoy the ones you are able to read :)

  36. I loved Under the Never Sky and The Girl of Fire & Thorns trilogies! Both have a slow burn effect -- they don't bedazzle you with instant love and thrilling non-stop action, but the character development is so solid that they're truly excellent reads. I hope you enjoy the series too!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I LOOVE The Demon King. One of my first YA fantasy series I read (and I'm so happy that she is writing 4 more books in the series!)

Haven't read any of the other books but I'm curious to see what you think about them :)

  38. I just had a couple friends tonight telling me that I need to read The Girl of Fire & Thorns series! You have a LOT of really good picks on here. I haven't read any of them yet but I've had my eye on most of them. Happy reading and thanks for stopping by my TTT the other day :)

  45. THESE BROKEN STARS! Oh, that book is extraordinary. Even though it's a dystopian science fiction romance, it's like reading a warm hug. It's so beautifully written, much in the same way The Winner's Curse is too. I adored the Under The Never Sky series as well, Veronica Rossi created such an incredible and unique series. Just wait until you meet Roar, you'll be so completely smitten <3 Thanks so much for sharing.

  55. Hmmm, some interesting books on this week's list! I'm kind of glad you didn't go with new releases, because it's nice to be reminded of some of the books (like Breathe and Under the Never Sky) that I'd kind of forgotten I wanted to read!

  56. THE BOOK OF BLOOD AND SHADOW! OMG YESSSSSS~ I've also read don't look back and under the never sky! come to think of it, all these three got 5 deserving stars from me! Under the Never Sky - PERRY. For real, this is top 5 favorite YA series ever. SO GOOD. Can't wait to see what you think!
Really enjoyed Don't Look Back and Incarnate, too!

  60. Fantastic books, I'm glad These Broken Stars are on there and I think you will love it because there is a 'fairytale romance' :D Heaps of these books are on my TBR as well, including the Runaway King, Miss Peregrine's and Under the Never Sky. Happy reading Mel!

  61. I've only read one of these, and I own quite a few of the others, which means I definitely want to read them some time in the future.

The book I HAVE read is These Broken Stars, and Mel - seriously. For some reason, I put off reading it until last month because one of the authors was visiting my city, and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I DID THIS. It is one of my favourite reads of this year. The writing is fantastic, the characters are amazing, and the story is just fabulous. I really hope you do get around to reading it because I think you will like it!
