Top 10 Tuesday 39. Sequels 2015.

What a difficult topic. You can see at my last post about my Mission Impossible about finishing series that I’m in the middle of a lot of series. A lot of them are special to me and I want to read the sequels like yesterday, but these are the ones I could think of right away:

1. Untitled Throne of Glass #4 by Sarah J. Maas.
ALL THE FEELINGS. After reading Heir of fire I need more. I still haven't written a review for HOF, it's so epic I can't find the words. I'm also extremely excited about A court of thorns and roses.

2. Untitled Red Queen #2 by Victoria Aveyard.
The first book will be published February 2015 and I already can’t wait for the sequel. I was impressed by the story.

3. The pirate code by Heidi Schulz.
Hook’s revenge is the first book and it was ADORABLE. If you like spunky MC's and fairytale retellings, you definitely need to check it out. My review will be up soon.

4. The winner’s crime by Marie Rutkoski.
The winner’s curse was a great book. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen. I still need to post my review though.

5. Ensnared by A.G Howard.
The dark twist to Wonderland is fantastic and the ending from the second book was brutal. I need to find out how it’s going to end.

6. Lion Heart by A.C Gaughen.
GIVE IT TO ME PLEASE. Scarlet was great, Lady Thief destroyed me.

7. The vanishing throne by Elizabeth May.
Look at the kick-ass cover! And after the ending from The Falconer I need more.

8. Winter by Marissa Meyer.
I don’t think this is a surprise. I’m in love with the creative twist to the original tales and one word: Thorne. Cinder, Scarlet and Cress are amazing. I also an't wait for Fairest.

9. End of Days by Susan Ee.
The story gets more gory and bloody with each sequel, I need this in my life.

10. The invasion of the Tearling by Erica Johanson.
The Queen of the Tearling was by no means perfect, but there was something about her storytelling that makes me hungry for more.

What are some of the sequels you are waiting for? Link me up with your TTT.

  1. Yes for the sequel to Red Queen, Winter, End of Days and the next Throne of Glass, though I haven't read Heir of Fire yet. Same for Ensnared. I'm waiting until that one's out before I pick up Unhinged. I do want to read Scarlet and Lady Thief. :)

  2. I'm going to be really sad when Angelfall ends. It's one of my all-time favorites.

AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR WINTER. This series just gets better and better!!

  5. OH MY GOSH YES FOR END OF DAYS!!! I remember someone telling me Penryn & the End of Days was going to be a 5-part series before, and I was like WHAT O.O HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT THAT LONG. So glad it's just a trilogy and I will find out about the ending soon :D

  6. I just finished Heir of Fire a few weeks ago, and I am DYING OF FEELS over that book. I would trade a whole years worth of chocolate to get my hands on book 4. (Which, for me, is really saying something.)

Also, I'm really looking forward to The Red Queen. I've heard nothing but good things, and am eager to read that series. And the Winner's Crime and Winter both are really high on my to-read list! Basically, all this is to say that I love your list, and I can't wait to read ALL THE BOOKS. :)

  7. A million, billion times yes to ToG #4...man, I can NOT wait until ALL the books are out...I have a feeling a reread will happen soon after that :D And same goes for Winter!! I NEED those in my life. I still need to get into Red Queen, Winner's Curse, Splintered, Scarlet, The Falconer, Angelfall and Queen of the Tearling. If they weren't ALL already high-priority wishlist/tbr, seeing them on your list here would have put them there ;-) Fab list Mel ^^ ♥

  9. I desperately need Throne of Glass #4, as well. There are so many things that I NEED to know about. Chaolaena being #1 on that long list. Followed closely by Dorian *crying(

I cannot wait for The Winner's Crime, either. After the ending of The Winner's Curse, I really need to know what happens. I'm hoping it'll be told in dual POV with Kestrel and Arin, so we can really get inside their heads.

I still haven't read Unhinged! I am awful at keeping up with series. But I really do want to read it terribly.

Oh goodness, the ending of The Falconer killed me, and I have been needing the sequel FOREVER.

I also need to read Cress and World After! I love both of their series, so I really have no clue or excuse as to why I have not read these books yet >.<

  10. Great list! Four of your choices are on my list and I think the other six would be too if I'd actually got round to reading the first book in the series all of which are either sitting on my shelves or on my Kindle. Need to get reading I think :)

  12. I’ve heard so many things about Red Queen, maybe I should try and see if it could get rid of my slump! And aaaaah! The fourth book of The Throne of Glass series (but haven’t read the Heir of Fire yet. T.T). If you’re looking forward to the sequel, I bet the previous books were great!

  14. I'm super pumped about Winter too! I still need to read World After before End of Days comes out, but I love Susan Ee's writing. I'm so happy to see that you liked Red Queen. It intrigues me and I'm glad to know it seems to be a decent story. Thanks for sharing!

  15. Quite a few of these make me excited, too, especially since you seem to love them so much and I haven’t even read the first book yet! I think- or I hope- I’m going to love The Falconer, and Hook’s Revenge sounds so great. You always do wonderful posts that set me up with a bunch of new books to check out, Mel!

  16. Everybody's always talking about The Winner's Curse and I still haven't read it!? I have so many series to finish, but also so many to start... *sigh*, it really is mission impossible!

  17. Glad to see that you liked Red Queen so much! I'm going to read it soon!

YES! ToG #4 needs to get here sooner! I'm so happy that we're getting two Maas books next year! Next year is going to be the year of all the feels^^

  18. I'm looking forward to End of Days, too. I just found out on Goodreads that it's going to be the last book (even though there are still five books listed for the series). It's just as well. I'm not a huge fan of series that go on and on and on...

  19. This list is awesome!! I notice that most of them are fantasies :) Ooh Red Queen was that good?? Oh my, RQ2 isn't out until 2016, that's bound to be a looong wait! I'm yearning for Throne of Glass #4. NEED IT. The prolonged releases of Winter and End of Days has me really excited too! Great list, Mel :)

  20. Mel we are on EXACTLY the same page. I can't wait for all of these sequels with the exception of Ensnared since I haven't started that series. And technically I have read Red Queen yet either but I expect to love it and will join you in your anxious wait for the sequel shortly. :)

  21. So many great series here! I am TERRIFIED but so so excited to read End of Days. I really want my OTP to somehow be together at the end, but I fear that's impossible. :/
Winter, of course, is like my #1 for 2015. Whyyyy did it get pushed back?! D:
I want to binge read the Scarlet series when Lion Heart comes out - can't wait!
    Great list, hon!

  22. So many books I can't wait for, including the Sarah J. Maas one and Winter! My most anticipated reads of 2015! I have still to read the Splintered series which I am looking forward to actually, as well as End of Days. It's going to be a great year of sequels!
