I am still alive!

Hello!

You may have noticed that it has been terribly quiet over here. Not only do I still suffer from a persistent blogging slump (I feel like my blog hardly matters anymore and that is a horrible feeling that doesn't motivate me to continue), I also had many exciting life changes! Not only did I get married, I also bought a house with my now-husband at the same time, so you can imagine I've been busy. We returned from our honeymoon last weekend, so I hope life will settle down a little now.

I'm currently working on a post that will wrap up all my life events and then I hope to continue to blog in a more consistent way, despite the blog-funk. I plan to continue writing about my bullet journal and my new adventure into gouache and watercolor, so keep an eye out for those posts! I also have a back log of reviews, both on Goodreads and in my review notebook, so I should be able to publish a few posts this month.

So yeah. For the people who are still hanging around, I'm still here. I haven't disappeared, my time simply shifted to something more important :)

  1. I'm here! And still interested in reading your book reviews + life stuff! So your blog 100% matters! I totally get how you feel though—with wedding planning and everything going on, my blog hasn't been a priority either. But I think about how nice it would be to have something to look back on when I get older, to remember the details of all the books I read. Anyways, are there any new fairy tale retellings that you've read and loved? :)

  2. Wow! Congrats on all the happy moments! Those are definitely worthy reasons of a blogging break, slump or no slump! Totally understand the slumping issues though. I feel them on occasion myself, but really, blogging is really my best source of socializing...which saddens me at times too, I don't people well with non-bookish people. They don't "get" me! Lol. Happy to see you back! :)

  3. Congrats! It sounds like you've had a lot going on. We all need breaks from blogging from time to time. Take all the time you need. :)

  4. Your blog matters to meeeee! We must discuss all the fairy tale retellings, always! Your wedding looked so beautiful, congrats again and on the house too! I've been struggling with blogging consistency for my own reasons so I definitely understand that. But I'll be excited whenever you post again :)

  5. I also struggle with blogging consistently generally. I'm on a gap year at the moment, so I'm finally able to get back into blogging. When school is on it's just too hard to find time to blog! It sounds like you've been really busy and had a lot of life changes (congrats on getting married and buying a house - THAT'S SO EXCITING!), so if you're struggling to blog, don't worry about it - sometimes we need a longer break than usual! <3

  6. Congratulations! I always get excited when someone's on the blogging community announce their wedding, it just felt exciting! I think everyone feels that way at some point, I'm also currently feel that way and hopefully, this blogging funk will pass for both of us soon!
